The FDA Child Development Center is a not-for-profit child care center sponsored by the Food and Drug Administration. Established in 2013, the Center offers a whole-child approach to early education, emphasizing play, learning, the arts, and nurturing. The Center is operated by Executive Child Development Center, a not-for-profit organization which has been providing state-of-the-art early childhood education since 1975. The Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The center opens from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM daily, the Center accepts children from six weeks of age through the pre-kindergarten years. Much more than just daycare, our program features the following:
- Loving, well-trained teachers with continuing education in the field of early childhood development;
- A quality curriculum based on developmentally-appropriate practices and geared towards the whole child;
- A beautiful, state of the art facility, as well as an outdoor playground.
We offered catered breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks; field trips, as well as music, sports, and art classes for the older children.
Our Mission Statement
ECDC provides quality child care and education to children of diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds from infancy through school-age. ECDC’s multi-cultural environment cultivates a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to meeting the needs of our families. In the broader community, ECDC seeks opportunities to advocate for the well-being of all children.
Our Philosophy
ECDC has been founded on the premise that each child, regardless of circumstance, claims the world as their own. Respect, positive regard, and learning opportunities are cornerstones for healthy and happy families.
ECDC strives to provide a “community of inquiry” where children and adults are continually translating experience into meaning.
